Things to Do in Conroe TX – Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe
It would be impossible to create a list of things to do in Conroe, TX without including the many amenities of Margaritaville Lake Resort in Lake Conroe. This new resort isn’t your typical hotel. It’s packed full of fun things to do and even offers individual lakeside cottages for a more private experience. It’s located right in the heart of Conroe with direct access to Lake Conroe.

Things to Do in Lake Conroe – Enjoy a Day on the Lake
Einstein’s Surf and Boat Shop is located in Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe and offers a variety of quality boat rentals. You can rent a tritoon boat for a casual afternoon on the lake full of sand, water, music, and fun. You can even fish from your boat to catch some of the fish in the lake. If you want a more interactive experience on the water, they also offer jet skis, paddle boats, kayaks, paddleboards, and more. And don’t worry – they also have life vests for anyone that needs them.
Things to Do in Lake Conroe – Splash Around in Jolly Mon Water Park
Margaritaville Resort in Lake Conroe has 5 swimming pools, a lazy river, two hot tubs, and two water slides at its Jolly Mon Water Park. The main pool area is located right outside of the hotel and has a heated infinity pool, a hot tub, and a pool they call “5 o’clock Somewhere Pool”. That one provides a poolside lounge feel with chairs partially submerged in the water and an in-pool bar.
Kids are allowed in some parts of this area but the highlight of the water park for them is located right across the walkway. The Splash Zone features water sprinklers, small water slides, and a huge splash bucket that dumps the fun every few minutes. You’ll also find the lazy river on this side with complimentary floating tubes. For the littlest of the family, there is a gated toddler splash pad where the kids can play with features specially sized for them.

You can mix a little adrenaline into your waterside fun with yet another pool area at Jolly Mon Water Park in Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe. The two Turn About Slides take you on a wild ride before dumping you into a heated pool. [The slides empty into 5-foot deep water so be prepared. If your kiddos are smaller, they will need to know how to swim or they might be more comfortable in the Splash Zone.]
Things to Do in Lake Conroe – Have fun in the Arcade
Did you know there is an arcade at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe with more than 20 games? You can race cars in Rio de Janeiro, escape from wild dinosaurs, win the war against aliens, or use a claw to win your favorite squishie toy at Fin City Arcade. Just purchase a game pass from a vending machine and swipe to play! [If you’re celebrating a special occasion, there is a room available for rent within the arcade as well. Talk about a fun way to spend a birthday weekend in Houston!]
Things to Do in Lake Conroe – Play the Greens on the Golf Course
The Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort in Lake Conroe offers the best golfing experience in the area. There are 18 playable holes over lush grass and near the beauty of Lake Conroe. They also offer a full practice range, putting green, and PGA certified instruction. If you want to grab a snack or a beverage after putting the green, stop by the Clubhouse to visit their Playin’ A Round Cafe. [Although we’d recommend it, you don’t have to be a guest of the hotel to play the greens here.]
Things to Do in Lake Conroe – Go For a Round of Mini Golf
If you’re not quite ready to hit the larger greens but still want to play a round of golf, Margaritaville Lake Resort has its own mini-golf course at the hotel! The Parrot Island Mini Golf course is the perfect size for some family-friendly fun at the resort. Everything is provided by the hotel so be sure to pop into the building for your supplies for heading to play!
Things to Do in Lake Conroe – Knock a Ball Around at Pickleball, Tennis, and Basketball
Not all the fun at Lake Conroe is on the lake. There’s fun to be had on land too! Margaritaville Lake Resort has several sports activity courts that can be used to play pickleball, tennis, and basketball. No reservations are required and the courts are multi-purpose.

The bus picks you up right there from the resort and whisks you away on a curated itinerary to visit only the best in Conroe. It’s a fun way to taste the delicacies of the area while supporting local businesses.
Things to Do in Lake Conroe – Dine Lakeside
The restaurants at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe offer the unique experience of dining lakeside. There are 6 eateries on site but the two restaurants with tableside service are LandShark Bar and Grill and License to Chill Cafe and Bar.
LandShark is the more casual of the two and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The waterfront deck, sandy shore, and fire pit make the outdoor seating here a special treat. Guess can literally pull up in their boat, dock it at the slip, and walk into the restaurant for a fantastic meal.
License to Chill is located inside the hotel and offers a slightly more upscale dining option. The center of this restaurant is its nautical bar with signature drink offerings. The outdoor deck has a beautiful view of Lake Conroe and overlooks the special events area of the hotel. [Although we’d recommend it, you don’t have to be a guest of the hotel to dine at any of the establishments here.]
